He's 800 points away from the Top Ten!
He isn't defending much until the next two slams, I would absolutely die if he makes top ten

With the big three hoarding up so many points, it is logical that less impressive achievements are required to reach the top 10, 20 or whatever. There are simply less points to go around for those ranked just below the top players.

So, if you do what you have been doing for years, win a few minor titles, consistently reach second week of a Slam, play all the Masters and make the quarterfinals here and there, you're likely to rank higher than in an era where more people are capable of winning slams.

This is not a sign of a weak or a strong era, in my opinion. It's just a logical outcome of the fact that the tennis ranking points system is essentially a zero sum game.

Great achievement for Feli. Obviously he is rather overranked but he does have a nice stylish game when it's clicking .

Welcome to the Top 20!

he might have achieved that rank before but it is still impressive that he is thriving in the sport at this age.

i am happy for him. well done.

If Feli reaches the top 10, I will ..... yes, do things that are not appropriate for this forum o_O
and also a tiny bit of faith in tennis will be restored.

This era had PRIME novak , clay court base
Player nadull , old man fed in his 31st year on
Tour & not much else.
Tennis for all it's talk of improvement etc is still
A two house race.
Instead of fedal ,we have djokdal.
