Mugrin

Well, I watched this Ramos in Umag playing against Dolgopolov and was impressed. Extremely determined fighter with a nice lefty forehand. Can take control of the point with it and is a good baseline player, if you wanna win you'll have to play hard and play good. He's making most out of his talent. I must admit I'm tempted to become a fan.

So, if he played his best tennis and Mugrin was tired from Beijing, this is not such a shocking result. Plus, he had an edge as a qualifier because he adapted to these courts perfectly.

Jetlagged? Moving from Beijing to Shanghai? Surely China is not that big.

Cilic

He had to be pretty bad to lose to someone who's won like 1 game on HC in his career....

Post-final disappointment, but still. Yikes.

Ramos was pretty impressive though. I figured he'd get pushed back far too much, be unable to cope with the pace. No such issue.
