Re: Where Are They Now?

Magnus Norman is the new coach of Wawrinka:

Wawrinka Teams Up With Norman On Trial Period

Stanislas Wawrinka has agreed to a trial coaching period with former World No. 2 Magnus Norman. The duo will work together mainly before and during major championships.

Wawrinka has been without a coach for more than 12 months. He said, I have been eager to work with Magnus for many years now and Im very excited to finally have that opportunity.

We will explore our relationship through this test period and I have no doubt it will bear fruit with hard work and dedication. I am excited to learn from his experiences. He is a fantastic coach and was a great player, so I only see an upside to this relationship. He most certainly will add a different dimension to my game.

Former World No. 2 Norman said, I hope it will be the start of something very good. As always, its important to set the bar high but be humble doing so.

Norman won one ATP World Tour Masters 1000 title at the 2000 Internazionali BNL dItalia in Rome, a few weeks before he reached the Roland Garros final (l. to Kuerten). The Swede had a 12-6 record in tour-level singles finals. In his post-playing career, Norman coached Robin Soderling for two years.

mea culpa! I see once again there is no original idea left since the dawn of the internet. everything has been thought of already 1000s of times before.

Retired players job watch

Hi everyone,

I have always wondered what tennis pros do after they retired from the pro tour. What kind of jobs do they find and how successfull are they? Of course there are those that stay connected to Tennis and work as commentators (John Mcenroe), coaches (Ivan Lendl), tournament directors (Michael Stich) and so on. But what about others? What is Stefan Edberg doing nowadays? Or some former pro who only made it to the Top50/Top100 during his career? Maybe people can share some of their insights and we can collect the info in this thread? Or am I the only one interested in this subject?

Thanks a lot,

Didn't knew where to post this ATP Uncovered with Ronald Agnor elsewhere so I included it in here:

Sjeng Schalken has 2 kids and lives right on the Dutch/Belgian border, in fact his place covers two nations. He has a clothing business as well.

Medvedev is working at an academy in Ukraine and had some gambling problems, but he seems to be over them now from reports.

Re: Where Are They Now?

Richard Fromberg left the TA set up because they are a bunch of clowns and is working at a new tennis club called Maccabi in Melbourne as a coach.

Which gas station in Vxj ... I once lived there, though I used to take the train to work in Alvesta!
