Re: Canadian Players 2

So do we have any clue when and if these guys will go pro?

Filip quit tennis and is studying Business at Schulich University. Brayden is a Top NCAA player at North Carolina, he won the NCAA Singles Championship in 2014. Hugo plays at Ohio State. Sam plays number 1 singles and doubles for Indiana.

Edward Nguyen never had a game that could translate into adult tennis, and was constantly injured so I don't really know what happened to him.

Schnur will have a good pro career after College, definitely Top 100.

Martin Beran seems to be having a decent run in Bulgaria, I remember someone on here a while ago saying this guy might have good potential.

Emeraldhands Ugh another tight loss in final qualies. He would have gotten a wc to boot. Tough loss

I love seeing all these events. I remember when I posted here when there were only about 3 events not including the one in USA (Vancouver)

Emeraldhands I noticed that there are 5 weeks of Canadian events leading up to Rogers Cup. It's nice to see Canada increasing it's involvement in tennis and giving these young guys the opportunity to grow without having to spend too much money playing overseas

It depends on the day of the SF match and the day of the qualifying match.

Emeraldhands Tough week as no canadians make it out of the second round. Guess was optimistic after all the success last week

Emeraldhands Tabilo had a nice win today 3 and 3 over a fellow qualifier but is in tough against probably king tomorrow who is the top seed. Guess you have to beat these guys if you want to move up the rankings

Emeraldhands Anyone have any idea who this Don ski kid is? Having decent results. Seems to have come out of nowhere.

Any one know if anyone from college might be turning pro this year? Like Schnurr or Monette?

Re: Canadian Players 2

Tabilo had a good run in Mexico this week by getting to the Semi-Finals, that will get him close to the top 1000. Should also get him an SE into the next Mexico event which he was slated to do qualies in.

On a minor note, Canadian player Pavel Krainik qualified for a futures event in Turkey. He drew a 4th seeded player from Great Britain, L.Glasspool

Re: Canadian Players 2

Vasek Pospisil is a nice guy but he is having a horrible start to the year 2-7 in singles matches. I honestly doubt Vasek is going to change anything though.
