1. The story and Daenerys are much more complex than your shallow interpretation.
2. There are no indications even for your simple theory.

Next thing I will hear here is that Ramsay or Walder Fray are actually goid guys. Or there is a proper justification for what Faceless Men are doing. ;shrug:

I don't see how seeing the change in Dany and how her strengths do not necessarily fit with leadership and how she cannot take failure well is the shallow interpretation.

I would say it's much more shallow to praise Dani as the savior character that she appeared to be in the first season and ignore anything she may do wrong or the faults she shows. She's not a goddess.

The things I liked: 1) the scenes at Horn Hill - the beauty of the place, and Sam's father being a proper asshole as expected. 2) Arya clapping back, bitches. She's lost too much time in that shit hole. Her story has been going nowhere. 3) finally being able to see the Mad King at the very end of his reign. Impactful micro second. 4) Queen M being unclear, even though, I think, it's just a trick to escape from the High Sparrow's claws.
Even then, point 4 felt forced, because it came out of nowhere. And even though it's one of her plans, I would have liked to see a progression to make it believable in the eyes of the High Sparrow. And Tommen is adorable and all, but he's also the most useless King ever; but at least his uncertainty/lack of courage due to his age and character is realtively well written. Another thing that seemed slightly forced: Benjen's return. Explained in 1 minute and voilà. More like the actor didn't sign a contract for the 4 previous seasons. It didn't make me feel anything.
Yeah, unfortunately they're introducing events that happened a while ago in the books (e.g. Riverrun, Coldhands) and reminding people of characters that have been dormant for a while (i.e. Walder Frey) and it's disrupting fluidity.

Arya finally leaving Does all the screen time of her being hit with sticks justify any slight character development we'll see/have seen? Not really.

Too many cringey Daenerys speeches Anybody who doesn't think she's way closer to antagonist than protagonist now is just fanboying.

Doesn't make killing people any more justified. The actress' request is presented as being motivated out of jealousy.

Jaqen is an amazingly intelligent, spiritual, righteous and insightful man, the polar opposite of a boring loser. No wonder someone as trashy as Arya didn't fit in.
