On the other hand everything related to Dorne should just burn immediately, they should just show the dragon burning the whole island down with the main characters from Dorne dying in horrifying agony on screen. Even that'd be more entertaining and better thought-through than the current situation. I particularly hate the sand snakes scene, they have to add some completely rubbish line every time, this one was almost as bad as the bad pussy one.
Burn them all or just let Varys say on the screen that his little birds told him that the Dorne was plundered and every person was killed and it won't play any role whatsoever.
Pretty much my thoughts.

You make it sound too simple, like they can just say ok, we are doing 20 episodes, let's go and make it happen. It doesn't work that easily.
i read the show cost 10M$ a season.

if its true then its one of the most expansive shows ever no?

3. Dorne scenes always remind me that GoT has after all, budget issues. The sparse soldiers, the select locations; everything is soap-operatic and I'm glad Doran's dead.

4. Podrik reminding Sansa her Lady Vows was a moment of charm. Brienne is too rushed in everything, but gotta give her a break cause she so badly needs to serve someone.

5. So Melissandre just gets out of bed at dawn and knocks Ser Davos' door. "Oh, I have to keep the plot running, let me in."
You are too critical. Looks like you just want to find something to complain about.

Anyway:

1. Who cares about new Khal. He will not get more than 2-3 episodes. Of course he is not Drogo.
2. Two of them were commenting that they could still see the circles in the grass (from Dothraki riders circling around Daenerys). Jorah just went in the center of the circle and saw the ring.
3. Yes Dorne is stupid.
4. Nothing wrong here. A great scene.
5. Nothing wrong here as well. Davos, other three and Ghost too were making noises.

The only cringe worthy stupid thing in the episode was two of the Sand Snakes teleporting in some magic way from Dorne to Kings Landing to kill Trystane. How did they manage to get there so fast?

Pretty much this. GOT is a mammoth enterprise, with an already whopping budget that would go even higher with more episodes. Not to mention the people who make the show probably want some free time and as is they probably have very little. I'd love 12-14 episodes per season because it would help alleviate the some of the issues with rushed plotlines (Dorne & and the Religious Fanatics in particular).

And the creators wanted next season to be the last one. If there are two more shortened seasons it was probably as a compromise.

Well not so sure about that. Vikings don't have dragons or the wall, but the battle scenes are much more massive and complex. Did you watch that siege of Paris for example? It must have cost a lot. They also film in Ireland, and I think Canada.

At least they could give us full 10 episodes i.e 60+ minutes, not make the season opener mere 45 minutes long. They could have added 15 minutes of Bran, or Tower of Joy flashback for example.

I am afraid they are going to rush through last three "shortened" seasons, instead doing them properly and will make a mediocre show instead of the greatest thing on TV ever. It would be a real shame.

If Vikings can go with 20 episodes/season, if Breaking Bad and TWD can do 16 per season, I don't understand why GoT producers keep insisting on only 10 episodes.

What makes me even more mad is proposing even shorter seasons 7 and 8 (7 and 6 episodes). Hopefully HBO didn't agree to this yet.

I watched season 2 and season 1. Season 2 moved entirely too slowly in my opinion. Not that much happened and plot points aren't really progressing much. Hopefully they can turn it up a notch in the next couple seasons and season 2 will just turn out to be the dud of the series.

Not to mention they blatantly shortchanged us by making 45 minutes 1st episode (52 minutes with very long "previously seen" and opening), instead full hour as expected. Season opening and ending episodes should be at least 1:30. Not 45 minutes.

Besides that, the only thing I can say about the episode is pretty much "chess pieces slowly moving without a check". I think the fundamental problem I have with the show is that the character-building and world-building is too large in the scope needed to cover and so the creators have to sacrifice pacing, emotive investment for consistency in giving all the different characters and settings even screen-time. Since we only get to see those characters for only a couple of minutes, it makes it a bit hard for me to properly invest with the plot and people in general. I kinda wish the creators of the show do the bold thing and sometimes mix it up by using an entire episode covering one particular Great Houses.

Shireen's death didn't help Stannis, but might help Jon Snow, at least that is my guess. Why burn her then?

As for the Dorne women acting, Indira Varma is not that bad but the young Sand Snakes are just silly. Too bad they killed Prince Doran, Alexander Siddig was the best actor there.
