yeah he's been seen a couple times by trainer and doctor for his lungs/chest, he's saying it's congested and he's having trouble breathing. it's seriously always something these days, something new.

i should've figured that. earlier this year he was having coughing/breathing trouble, too. wonder how much trouble this is gonna be later in the year.

When was that? I mean in Memphis he had a bad cold/flu but this seems different, leave it to andy to find some new ailment

yeah, i was thinking memphis. i think justin (or sam, idk, whoever) brought memphis [the final] up too when they were discussing what's wrong with him today.

but... couldn't even get it to a third set. those tbs nowadays.

he wouldn't have been able to win a third set anyway. he wasnt even running. Think that's the last time we see andy play as a top 10 player.

The lowest he's falling is to 13, he hardly has anything to defend the rest of the year points wise so ruling out a return trip to the top 10 is premature. Plus, I think we can cut him some slack on this one, he was clearly quite ill.

Even if he had made it to the quarters and lost to fed he would've fallen out of the top 10. His problem now is that he won't even be playing for another month (Madrid is not til May 1) and all those guys will be. Combine that with the fact that he can't seem to stay healthy for more than a tourney at a time and even when he is he's losing to anyone who isnt afraid to hit winners off his shots, and I don't see how it can be anything but a difficult road back for him.
