Just to revisiting this point I was reading the first few pages of the thread. The first 70 pages covers the first two months of 2011. Mean while only 7 pages cover 2016

Again part of that was alot of match commentary in the thread. Most discussion about him now takes place in the commentary thread on the main board, and just the main board in general.

I think we'll see the same for both FAA and Shapovalov.

I agree with this. Why so many clay tournaments? Seriously if you are going play any clay tournament pick one masters and the FO and that's it.

The problem is that Raonic (and Kyrgios) will be playing for four consecutive weeks right before they enter the French Open. They should have entered a clay tournament next week and taken the week before the French Open off. Raonic will probably have a few early exits as well. Maybe he'll withdraw from Lyon if he feels that he's got enough clay matches to be ready for the French Open.

I'm more shocked that Thiem isn't playing the week before the French Open.

Draws Smyczek in R1, should be easy, but Tim's just dominating Canadians right now.

Should be, but it probably won't be, depends on who the qualy is in R1, then Coric is playing decent in R2, probably Edmund-Mannarino QF, could be tough, SF should be tough Querrey-del Potro someone else, the final likely to be tough if he makes it.

Re: Milos Raonic

He beat Isner 7-6, 7-6 in Cincinnati today. I would have hated to see him go 0-4 against a one-dimensional player. In the round of 16 he plays Sugita or Mahut. Quite winnable. Quarterfinals would be against Thiem or Monfils. It should be another decent week for the Canadian.

Re: Milos Raonic

Raonic playing doubles in Cincinnati with Zimonjic, they won their first round match in 3 sets over Benneteau and Roger-Vasselin. Klassen/Ram next.

Re: Milos Raonic

The 8th seed for RG is great news. Raonic has worked hard this year, so after the worst Rome draw possible -- that looked like it would make it impossible to get a top 8 seed for RG -- it's nice to see his effort to gain points rewarded with what should be a more reasonably balanced draw. Some of the early-middle rounds could still be challenging, with some good young players starting to make inroads, but I can live with that. Not much difference between three of the four top quarters IMO (Murray, Wawrinka, Nadal)...all will be tough, but there's a good chance to win if Milos brings his AO level game. Not so much Djokovic's quarter though.
