Re: 2011 Schedule

Oh, that's me who did it on the french forum ^^. I'm glad too of this calendar because he has more chances to win a tournament and he will be more prepared for March and IW & Miami. And also Acapulco can bring him a lot of points so i hope he'll be in top 10 in March !

2011 Schedule

Stole that from his french forum :

1-8/01 : Hopman Cup?
12-15/01 : Kooyong Exhibition
17/01: Open d'Australie
31/01: Rest
7/02 : San Jose
14/02 : Memphis
20/02 : Acapulco
28/02 : Coupe Davis
7/03 : Indian Wells
21/03 : Miami
11/04 : Monte Carlo ?
2/05 : Madrid
9/05 : Rome
23/05 : Roland Garros
20/06 : Wimbledon
4/07 : Coupe Davis
8/08 : Montreal
15/08 : Cincinnati
29/08 : US Open
12/09 : Coupe Davis
10/10 : Shangaï
7/11 : Bercy
20/11 : Masters ?
28/11 : Coupe Davis

Looks like he's going for all american tournaments this year after the AO. San Jose, then Memphis and he just signed for Acapulco.

Dare I say it? It looks like really smart scheduling to me. Playing probably the two 500 tournaments with the weakest draws of the year (and the match-ups against the few top players there work in his favor : Roddick, Verdasco and Ferrer). He also gets to play Acapulco on clay that he likes to play, without getting too much flack about surfaces or timezones since DC is on clay against Austria. Good opportunity to pick up a ton of points, and hopefully with a better seeding do well in all the american masters and on clay during the period where he was either shit or not there last year.

I'd be very surprised if he was not top 10 by RG
