Re: Who Has The Better Forehand? Murray or Djokovic?
Murray's forehand is considerably inferior to Novaks. It breaks down just as much (see eg the recent Federer match for an example of it breaking down), has far less pace and about the only thing that going for it is the accuracy and the fact that he can disguise his dropshots well with it.
Now comparing Novak and Murray's backhand is a worthy comparison and a difficult question.

@Typhoon
You have a little obsession with Novak. I know it bothers you that he's been usually above Murray in the rankings for the last 3,5 years and has accomplished more in his career. I love Murray, don't worry, he will soon win his first slam. But don't try to make a case for him as he's the best thing that happened to Britain since sliced white bread. He still has to prove a lot. :shrug:
Re: Who Has The Better Forehand? Murray or Djokovic?
Novak has much more power to crack winners with his forehand. Rightly so this poll is lop sided. Wonder what those 3 voting for murray,s forehand were thinking. Its not even close

Re: Who Has The Better Forehand? Murray or Djokovic?
So according to you Murray has everything better then Djokovic apart of 2nd serve and still Nole has slam, TMC, more titles, etc? That 2nd serve must be really powerful..
Re: Who Has The Better Forehand? Murray or Djokovic?
I was going to go into reasons why Djokovic has the better forehand - but I can't be bothered, this thread is far too amusing :haha:
The poll speaks for itself.
On a more serious note, there is one shot which Andy Murray tends not to use - a shot that is the staple of any aspiring top player - the inside out forehand to the opponents backhand. One of the reasons for that is despite Andy being a great athlete, he doesn't run around backhand to hit forehand a lot (at all?)
There are not too many players since 1990 who have won slams and not had the inside out forehand as a major part of their arsenal. The only players I can think of are Pat Rafter and Stefan Edberg.
