Come back and win the Australian Open and all is forgiven.

Poor David, his DC dream is over...so sad and weird that Argentina couldn't even win a single match yesterday...even if they win double today, Monaco won't be able to beat Monfils tomorrow...

OMG! I even now do not believe

Nalbi lose so easily, and Argentina lose in this way

I'm so sad for him. It's really heartbreaking. I hope he gets over it quickly.

I know i shouldn't say they are already dead, after all there are still two more days, but the result of today will be a big strike on the whole team.

I was way too nervous to post during David's match, but it's always nice to read your comment and report Tim. Time to go sleeping now, I will still follow the doubles match tomorrow, but don't think i will go to check any news and comments for the match today.
Bye Crystal!

Today was rock bottom. There can only be better days. I won't go reading anything either. Heart already hurts too much.

What a lousy day for Argentina as a team too. Pico looked like he had a chance too.

Only one way to look at it for Argentina. They must take one match at a time, and they must win all of them or it is over.

Again, I cringe at the thought of the # of UFEs David had in that match. This is his big issue nowadays. He can hit the brilliant shots, but he blows the easy ones.

Does it all seem more mental than anything at this point to you?

He broke Monfils twice in the second set and was cruising, and then all of sudden he just seemed to lose focus. The same thing was true in the 4th set when he was up 3-0. I know Monfils played well, but David should have been able to take that one to a 5th set. His last game he looked like he was completely self-destructing hitting an easy volley into the net....

Hope he gets some mental rest for Sunday if necessary. Zeballos/Schwank and Pico will all need to come through first to give David a chance at redemption. That would be quite a story, but not very likely at this point.

Re: David Nalbandian in Davis Cup, 17-19 September 2010, Lyon, France,

Well, that couldn't hurt anymore.

Having a 3-0 lead in the 4th and then losing 6 straight games to lose the match. Some of those UFEs just looked completely as though he had lost control of everything. What a bummer. He looked so good at times. Very unhappy with that last set

Don't know what to say.... Only positive is that it looks at times as though he has it all back in stretches. When he gets angry, it hasn't been helping his game at all.

Just when you think he is in the flow....
