10ahcity After having a great past two months on the challenger circuit Andrey has gotten his ranking back in the top 100! He will be in Shanghai qualifying this weekend. Let's hope he makes the main draw

Re: Andrey Kuznetsov

Andrey's next tournament is $75,000 Istanbul. First match is against Dan Evans, who he beat handily at Wimbledon. Dan has had a bit of a resurgence recently, winning some futures but Andrey is on a 10 match winning streak, and I would favour him in this match up by far.

Re: Andrey Kuznetsov

I guess skipping USO was a good idea.

6-4, 6-3. So straight forward. Some of his shots were a dream. He's in his element at the moment. Brands didn't play too badly either but Andrey was just too good.

Re: Andrey Kuznetsov

Andrey won the title. And yet he will now plummet down the rankings because of those third round US open points.

Re: Andrey Kuznetsov

Andrey is into the final of Manerbio and has been playing fantastic this week. Excellent ball striking. I did wonder why he wasn't in the US Open qualifying but I guess it was worth skipping it. Hopefully he can go on to win the title.

Re: Andrey Kuznetsov

Andrey lost 6-3 in the third. Had three match points at 5-4 in the second set on Basilashvili's serve. Still a great week though. He is playing Gstaad next. I really like his draw so maybe he can continue his winning ways there. Faces Ilhan in round 1.

Re: Andrey Kuznetsov

No he didn't play Davis Cup for some reason. Russia won regardless though, somehow beating Spain, so maybe he will play in the World Group Play Offs against Italy later in the year.

He beat Pavlasek in the quarters in Scheveningen today 6-4 6-4. In both sets he was up early breaks and gave them both back, but managed to break again when it mattered. I think this is his first challenger semifinal of the year! I really hope he can win the title here, it would put him back inside the top 100. He faces Haase next.

He is on the alternate list for Hamburg and Gstaad next week. He is much more likely to get into Gstaad as he is the 1st alternate and in Hamburg I think he is the 6th.

Re: Andrey Kuznetsov

Was he at the Fed Cup? Anyway he's playing again tomorrow against Huta-Galung (whoever that is) in Scheveningen.

10ahcity After failing to qualify Andrey will be down to 122 in the rankings again

He was supposed to play a bunch of European clay challengers but withdrew from them, I'm assuming because he has to prepare for Davis Cup next week?

Triple Set Point
Re: Andrey Kuznetsov

Loser Andrey loses to Beck in straight sets. Scrub status.

Re: Andrey Kuznetsov

Won 7-6 6-3. Next up is Ebden, who just won a challenger last week. They played once before in IW and Ebden won in 3. GL Andrey!

Re: Andrey Kuznetsov

I watched it as well. He was in control the whole time, there was never a moment where it felt like he was in trouble. He had a really good serving performance today and some sweet backhand winners. Nishioka could be tricky but Andrey shouldn't have a problem making the semis here if he sustains this level of play.

Re: Andrey Kuznetsov

Won his first match 6-3, 6-3. Only managed to see the second set but looked like he is playing well. He won by hitting a sneaky second serve ace down the line! Next up is Nishioka.
