I can't believe how hyped Korolev was on the first pages of this thread. I mean, WTF? Above Tsonga, Cilic, Gulbis...Was he so special 6 years ago or what?
I watch tennis regularly and can recognize most of top 150 players but I don't have a clue who Korolev even is, never watched him play and it looks like there won't even be a chance. What a fail.
Zverev isn't much better. Made some noise few years back, but nowhere to be seen lately.

Nobody else has done half as much as Tsonga has done.

Tsonga for sure but none of these guys in the OP's original list have accomplished anything significant and most of them failed miserably. The Part 1 list did bring some great champions.

AJ, I'd suggest you create the Part 3 with Dimitrov, Tomic, Jerzy, Goffin, Harrison etc ...

Tsonga was the only one who lived up to the hype.

From those 8 Tsonga is and will be the only Slam contester. The others are so far from him...

Gulbis : Who really knows what will become of him

Korolev : Got married most significant thing he has done in ages.

Tsonga : Easily the best of this lot, helps not being out of the game for years, capable of beating the big guys, but inconsistency will remain.

Cilic : Gets a stupid amount of hate at this place, not like he cheats like Robredo, can agitate like Almagro, irritate people with antics like Tomic. Works hard, hope he comes back to the tour soon.

Young : No DY, start 2011 outside top 100, finish the year in the top 50. So he sacks the coaches there and brings mamma back on board, not good. If he wins a title likely to be one of the smaller US events.

Querrey : Gets a lot of crap, for not liking tennis, looking like a tourist. Even with the limited game barring injury problems should finish the year inside top 100.

Zverev : Had to rebuild his serve after some injury issues, slow process.

Bolelli : Had some injuries, but struggled in the past year to come back.

That's not besides the point. He lost to FEDERER! And besides, 64 players don't make the second round. And it's a great accomplishment for him considering all the surgeries he's had and the fact that his baby nephew died around Christmas, just a few weeks before the tournament.
