Re: Which book do you currently read?

I finished Come To The Edge. It was sad it had to be sad due to the subject matter. But the fact that there was no chronological order to the book spoiled it somewhat for me. When I read a non-fiction book I want things to be in order. And she had journals she had written during the time she was writing about so why didn't she put things in their proper dated order instead of jumping from past to future to present and back continually throughout the book? Due to the subject matter did it make it easier for her to write it that way? I'll never know the answer.

Come To The Edge is really written so strangely. It is not in any sort of chronological order She jumps around so much in time it is unreal.

That is one thing I don't do is re-read a complete book. I might go and refer back to certain parts of books, but that is all I will do.

Re: Which book do you currently read?

I have just now barely started Come to the Edge it is a memoir by Christina Haag about her relationship with John Kennedy, Jr. years before he met and married his wife. It's sad because right off you know that Christina's and John's relationship ended plus years later John's life ended. I guess the only reason to read a book where you already know the ending is to find out what happened before the end.

It's always so much harder to finish a book you just can't get into. Well done for the perseverance.

I've just started another Gladys Mitchell murder mystery with her uncompromising heroine Adela Bradley in the lead once more. It's called When I Last Died. So far, so good, but I'm only in chapter 2 at the moment.

I've just re-visited my high school days and read The First Casualty by Ben Elton, it was always one of my favourites!

Right now I'm about to finish Planet of the Apes by Pierre Boulle. Absolute masterpiece. Don't know how I missed it for so long.

I gotta read a couple of history books but my next fiction will be The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski, the first of the Witcher saga. I finally got ahold of that book. It was a nightmare to get in my country.
I still haven't finished reading it so that should tell you something

I'm currently reading Ice Blue. It is a Mystery and some of the e-book Mysteries can be good, but I'm not sure about this one yet?
