it's always sad to see a promising player having to retire because he just can't get those good results evryone was expecting him to have!, any news on Stefan? haven't heard much about him lately

La nouvelle vient du site de la VTV : Dominique Coene a décidé de mettre un terme à sa carrière sur le circuit international.
Malgré une belle carrière en junior (avec en point d'orgue, sa victoire à Wimbledon en double aux côtés de Vliegen), il n'est jamais parvenu à creuser son trou sur le circuit professionnel. Sa carrière fut trop souvent émaillée de blessures pour qu'il puisse vraiment progresser. Il est d'ailleurs fort probable que sa dernière blessure (qui l'empêche de jouer depuis deux mois) soit un des facteurs principaux qui l'ont poussé à prendre cette décision.
Il a tout de même réussi à gagner une étape satellite au Portugal ainsi qu'un future en France mais ce sont ses deux titres de champion de Belgique, le premier en 2001 et le deuxième en juillet dernier, qu'on retiendra surtout.

I'm afraid so... The VTV-site tells us Dominique stops playing the international circuit.
Anyone more information?

They both have talent, they proved it in the juniors, but when will they start to have some good results I hope soon !
