AO cheering thread!

draw out on Friday (probably late Thurs night for most of us) - going for the hat-trick :D

so... Pics, fancy coming over to the top side of the draw?

also, I'm amazed I managed to find anything remotely resembling a rhyme for 'australian open'... ridiculously hard.

F:

(1) DJOKOVIC, Novak [SRB] vs. (3) MURRAY, Andy [GBR]

Re: Sculpting a victory: A Pygmalion Slogan for the Australian Open! SF v Ferrer

I only watched a little bit of Andy and he scared me.
You know I love me some Andy but I want to see how well he plays against Federer. I still think Novak is the favorite to win it all.

Of course I want Andy to get revenge for those Slam Final losses.

I assumed it would be women's SFs tomorrow and both men's SFs on Fri... I don't remember 3 of the 4 singles SFs being played on one day and 1 the day after...?

It's always been like this. Whoever wins today(Novak if he knows what's good for him) will get two days off before the final.

I really hope Federer beat Murray

And Ferrer is never easy if Nole doesn't play well, but he should feel pretty confident knowing he wont be hit around the court as much as his last two matches

Ferrer is the most one-sided player of the top 10,he's got nothing on Nole. But I understand you all fans being nervous. That doesn't mean you underestimate him I sincerely hope.

Lee, Nole is going to be fine!! Poor Ferrer has nothing on him. If he managed to beat that Godrinka in 5 hours and then beat Berdych, he is not going to waste it all by losing to Ferrer. :D

And I promise to wake, although I think I will have to ask my mother to call me from work.

I'm hoping Roger beats Andy and then loses to Novak in the final. We need that H2H corrected.

I'm not underestimating Ferrer, but Nole should win the match, even if it's in tight sets.

Me too Yolita. I actually want Fed in the final, their matches are usually legendary. ;)

Federer doesn't stand a chance vs Nole here. But same thing vs Andy, so that final is not going to happen :(
I see you're getting more cocky Raquel, good.

I am 80% sure Murray will be in the final, sadly. But hey, it's always a good day when RF loses.

I am 90% sure Nole will be in the final and 60% sure he will win the whole thing. If you're wondering.

When did I become a prophet? :tape:

If I was going to bet on anyone it would be for Nole to win this tournament, but literally everyone I have bet on during this AO has lost so I'm not going to do it. I think it'll be Fed and Nole in the final (because I'm the low-expectations sort of Murray fan)...but I hope not because I'd rather not have to worry about Federer winning, which I would find wholly tragic.

But I want him to beat Federer. I can bet on Ferrer I guess but I am tired of losing money

I'm a little worried about watching this match because I'm at a hotel and I don't have AO coverage on the TV in my room, but I do have it on the TV in the lounge where there are hardly any people but I'm worried that there will randomly be like 20 people there who want to watch some other channel and ughhhhh.
