Jaqen is the one who has been wasting his time. About time they get Arya out of that garbage cult. Arya is a great character when paired with someone else interesting like Tywin and the Hound. When paired with boring losers like Jaqen is when she suffers.

Daenerys is a terrible human being. Another one of her lame speeches to close off an episode, like it's something impactful . The episode should have ended with Benjen.

Hopefully Arya dies at the hands of Jaqen for wasting our time, but unfortunately she is one of those immortal characters.

Margaery is clearly plotting and isn't actually turned by the High Sparrow, already taking a lead on Cersei in that regard. Tommen reminds me of Goffin.

Not true at all. A silly theory. Daenerys is nothing like the Mad King.
It is clear from the beginning she is like Rhaegar. Implied throughout the books and the series.

She might make mistakes that will bite her in the end. They are making her way too powerful now and that probably spells trouble. However not because she is like Mad King, but because she is like Rhaegar. Who obviously made some mistakes. But he was not mad at all.

Viserys was mad like their father.

Targaryens are hit and miss due to generations of inbreeding. Either mad or brilliant. Mad King and Viserys were former. Rhaegar and Daenerys latter. I thought GRRM and show runners made that quite obvious.

A coincidence that the episode is bookended with a vision of the Mad King and Daenerys' speech? She stops short of condoning r a p e and pillaging like Drogo did but could she really stop the Dothraki doing that?

Yes I loved the Arya part She'll take no shit anymore

These scenes where Danaerys is a leader are pretty strong too

Tommen I wonder if Margaery convinced him to do it? She didn't know there was any rescue coming and probably did what she thought was the best to save her brother.

Gilly is adorable Sam too Sam's dad

Re: HBO game of thrones - anyone watching?

S6E6 a third great episode in a row. This season looks better and better.

Daenerys riding Drogon She gets more epic every episode.
Benjen saving Meera and Bran.
Sam and Gilly meeting his family was cool. Father is a real dbag. Little Sam is the cutest baby Gilly looked very good in that dress.
Setting up the conflict/battle in Riverrun - Walder Frey/Jaime vs Blachfish/Bryenne. Tullys will probably not be able to send help to the North on time Enter Knights of the Vale hopefully.
Arya finally leaving stupid boring faceless men. I expect annoying Waif will be gone next episode.
Interestingly, no one died, except bunch of wights who were already dead anyway

Bad things:
High Sparrow/Kings Landing story-line is still annoying. I expected more from the Tyrell army. They didn't do anything really. Stupid Tommen.
No Jon/Sansa and North story-line.
No Tyrion/Varys and Meereen story-line.

* Bolton escapes the battle of the bastards and gets back to Winterfell. Jon has no siege to get in the castle. Wun wun is injured/dies busting shit in.
* Jon pounds the shit out Ramsay after the bastard bowl but decides to throw him in jail instead of kill him.
* Ramsay killed later in the season, possibly by Wolf/dogs.
* Jamie is off in the riverlands trying to take out the Tullys.
* Brienne and pod are in the riverlands trying to recruit the Tullys.
* The tullys and lannisters (and brienne) fight. Looks like LAnnisters win.
* We see the old brotherhood without banners ambush some unknowns. Unconfirmed: With the unknowns is the hound. He kills a bunch of people.
* Arya refuses a job, kills the waif, and peaces out from the faceless men.

* Samwell goes to see his folks, they still hate him, Sam steals his fathers Valyrian sword and takes off.
* Cersei goes HAM on everyone in King's Landing, killing them all with wildfire including Loras and Margery, and whatever Lannister is regent. Uncofirmed: High Sparrow also dies in this event.
* Tommen apparently kills himself by jumping out a window because he's sad.

Re: HBO game of thrones - anyone watching?

Ser Davos is a joke these days. He's just planting his nose into practically anything that's going on with his standard earnestness from past seasons. Dude wasn't even shaken when he learnt Stannis died; instead #jon was trending, so he leaped onto the bandwagon. And now he's discussing strategies with the Northerners to defeat the Boltons; he's not even military - yeah D&D, use him to glue as many plotholes as you want, with no advance on his emotional arc.

I was secretly hoping Hodor is a secret password to unlocking the Lord of Light's marvel and that he put everything at stake to remember. Great episode!

But Leaf???..come on, so the Children created these monstrosities but would have liked a bit more detailing into all the reasoning and the history as to how its done...but both Leaf and tree's Pycelle are dead.

To add fuel to the twin theory. According to the A Wiki Of Ice and Fire, both Jon and Meera are born in 283 AC. The same year Lyanna died.
Meera Reed - A Wiki of Ice and Fire
Jon Snow - A Wiki of Ice and Fire
Lyanna Stark - A Wiki of Ice and Fire

Re: HBO game of thrones - anyone watching?

I think she won't kill this actress and then something interesting will start happening (maybe).

Arya is a good heart girl though emotional and not always very smart (like every Stark).
