ok he lost but he play well...that's a good sign for the rest of season
if I saw 4.set statistics without watching the match, I would sure he got a set with at least 6-4. 16 aces,0 DF, 21 winners, 5 UE..if I have good memory... I was stared at the statistics and I was shocked why he must play 5.set, should be 3-1...tennis is weird sport.
Ernie keep it up,we believe in you

Re: Dust your shoulders off! Grass season 2012 Thread

I knew he wasn't gonna play same level he had played against Tomas. Nevertheless the stats were good,it was a shame he had lapses of the kind we've been used to this year.

However,he's at a much greater level than we've seen for almost a year,he's producing serving I haven't witnessed for years. I hope he can build on this tournament, keep being aggressive, believing, try and keep his emotions in check.

Things will be tricky for him once his ranking drops after all the points he earned in the U.S. and Canada last year are gone, but if he can stay motivated and keep the renewed belief in his aggressive game, things might not be as bad as we fear. It won't be easy but I'm here for the ride.

I mean less UEs, and tons more aces, and he lost the match?? I just don't understand how someone can be better in every stat like that and lose the match!

How did Ernests lose the match with those percentages? Just how?

He couldn't find an ace, he played TB too conservative (unlike vs Berdych) and JJ returned well (all of a sudden!!!).

Hmm, frustrating.

I think that sums up this match pretty well.

i didn't see the tie-break either, but in the second set he lost his serve from such a ridiculous situation,he won the 1st with two breaks,on of them was for the set,and then he choked a little bit with no reason for it...

Re: Dust your shoulders off! Grass season 2012 Thread

it sucks because the draw was ther for the 4th round and with LA coming he really could have used that

i also wanted him to prove everyone in the GM wrong, kind of shut them up

too bad for him, this was such a good shot to earn some big points, now he's still in trouble with his rankings,Janowicz played good, really good. hope he won't lose motivation after this

I am proud of him too.

Such a vast improvement - even that match, he took it to five sets and right to the wire.

No shame in it at all - I'm glad to see he is on the up and wish him all the best for his next tournament

I knew this would happen. As soon as he doesn't have hawkeye he lets calls get to him.

Re: Dust your shoulders off! Grass season 2012 Thread

He has no answer to Janowicz' serve during the second half of the match and his forehand, backhand, and footwork let him down at several crucial moments. Sigh...
