But otherwise you are totally right.

Maybe Nystrom will work mit Dominic even more in 2017? Seams like a good coach too.
And Gulbis said that Bresnik pushed him to play tournaments even though he was injured. Always two sides of the story. But it's obvious that Thiem is more focused than EG and also easier to work with. So I can't blame him.

But again, I think for Thiem this is not bad news at all. Bresnik is basically collecting hitting partners for him. Thiem will only benefit from it because it's so obvious that he's No. 1 in this "team". I'm just not sure how this will work for JJ. But AFAIK he was without a coach, right? So maybe better than nothing.

i do remember bresnik had said things when gulbis and thiem would play and it was obvious who he liked and believed in more.

jerzy and denis better be prepared to play pretty much every single week this season then. thiem has obviously responded well but his style might not work for everyone

id agree with that. a coach like bresnik can only get you so far. obviously its worked well to get dominic where he is but i just for some reason dont see him being the guy thiem needs if he wants to step up and start doing better at the larger events. you need someone fully focused on you

As a Thiem fan I don't think you have to worry too much about that. His focus will remain on Domi. It's the Janovicz and Shapovalov fans (though he is young, he might benefit from it) who need to worry.

Having said that I agree with you that Bresnik seems to be one greedy bastard.

As a Gulbis fan I can assure you that I hated their one coach/two players arrangement in the end, I was happy when they split even though Bresnik had helped Ernie to get to No. 10.

Gulbis split with him right before Roland Garros this year (literally the day before his first match in Paris) because Bresnik was focusing on Thiem.
