It's between 7 and 8am, and , as always, I am riding my E subway train to work. Every day starts like that. In this last car of E train. I look around.. I see tired and sleepy faces.. How many hours of sleep did they get this night,5 or 6? This is how their day in Manhattan starts too.. In this car.. People of different occupations, races and nationalities.. Who wake up at 6am every day of the week to earn their living.. Now they are quiet, and eyes of many are closed. This gorgeous African-American...

Fed Cup plans

The question of the day.. Should I go for Fed Cup tie to Liege or not? Financial costs aside, I am quite tired of doing this kind of stuff alone, flying back and forth alone, wandering in that wonderful land of Europe, also alone.. Did that like 5 times in last 5 years.. Somehow, nothing is as disturbing as having to have meals alone, day after day.. But that could be a very exciting tie.. Or it could be a very boring one.. Tossup.. Need to decide.. Soon.. While airtix are still cheap.. And, yeah,...

That's really puzzling... We are in the middle of the first Grand Slam of the year, after normally unbearably long off-season.. And I am not interested. N-o-t i-n-t-e-r-e-s-t-e-d at all.. Maybe it is all the stress of last month.. Too many things to worry about.. More important people to worry about than all those totally remote and unfamiliar tennis players, who are really nothing to me, and vice versa.. I used to have that kind of feeling once, some while ago, in August 2002, when I almost forced...
