Jugen Melzer showed a tremendous amount of resilience as he claimed a stunning 7-5 7-6 victory against Milos Raonic to secure the Regions Morgan Keegan Championship title in Memphis. The Austrian broke a toe only days before the tournament started, but shook off the injury to battle his way through a tough draw to win his fourth career title.

Juan Martin Del Potro looked back to his destructive best as he clinched his 10th career title and first ever indoor title with a 6-4 6-4 victory against Michael Llodra in the final of the Marseille Open.

The number four seed produced a dominant service display throughout the final, conceding just 13 points to his opponent and firing 11 aces on his way to victory, which was achieved in just over 80 minutes against the 2010 champion Llodra.

Britain's forlorn hope in the tennis world, Andy Murray, will lace up his tennis shoes for the first time in almost a month, when play starts at the Dubai Tennis Championships, later today. "I'm looking forward to the tournament", the Scot said.

Murray began the New Year in fine form, contesting a semi-final at the Australian Open with Novak Djokovic. The encounter, which lasted almost five hours, was later described, by Djokovic, as "one of the best matches I've played"....

Novak Djokovic believes he is capable of matching the highs of last season as he faces up to a massive year.
