Home favourite in the bet365 odds, Leyton Hewitt, goes into the Australian Open next week on the back of a victory in the Brisbane International at the weekend.

The former world number one was able to beat heavy favourite Roger Federer in the final 6-1 4-6 6-3. That was his first title since 2010 as he begins the new season in good form.

Serena Williams kicked off the new season in the same form she ended the last one, taking her winning streak to 22 matches on the way to the Brisbane International title.
