A Good Lesson

Posted 12-12-2006 at 08:08 AM by Choupi
Yesterday, I've met the friends I was expecting would come for my birthday. In the conversation we had, we spoke about what we did for the weekend. One went to the Christmas market, the other did couch potato in front of her tv. I simply added I had a blast with the cats, when they asked how my birthday was. But I couldn't hide the bitterness. Had a good lesson there.

The Story of a Great Day................

Posted 12-10-2006 at 03:28 PM by Choupi
Today's my birthday. Nothing extraordinary. Always been an ordinary day so......but, I bought a cherry pie yesterday, as I was wishing/expecting (?) that some friends might end up coming home today. The ones with whom we did that surprise visit about 1 month and a half ago,to another friend who just turned 40.

I knew this wouldn't happen when I got 1 SMS saying "happy birthday!! Love. See you tomorrow" from one of them. And, as I really didn't feel like throwing a party...

The Blogs are Back!!

Posted 12-09-2006 at 09:06 AM by Choupi
The blogs hadn't been working for some time, and I was starting to miss them badly. Not only mine. I am used to read some others regularly. Anyway, it's working now.

Today, it's Gaston Gaudio & Fabrice Santoro's respective birthdays. 2 guys I do appreciate a lot. For various reasons. I wish them a very Happy Birthday.

Some other random updates......2 weeks to go before Christmas break. I need it. Badly.

My dad keeps on seeing his doctors. He says...

Confirmation

My dad saw a specialist yesterday. A rheumatologist. The previous diagnosis has been confirmed. He suffers polyarthritis. He will be treated for life now. It's a disease that can't be cured. All they can do is lessen the achings and try to slow down the evolution of it all. He'll end up in a wheel chair. The most important is that it happens as far away as possible in time.

Just had him on the phone, and it seems he's slowly realizing that it's a disease, and that he will need life...

Autumn Feelings

Posted 11-11-2006 at 11:28 AM by Choupi
This morning, I didn't need to open the shutters to know it was raining outside. My shoulders were aching, as well as some fingers joints. Yeah, those bloody rheumatisms are back. I can't deny I come from the family I actually come from. I can't help thinking of my dad. Things must have begun that way too for him. It's a very early stage for me, so I'm lucky the pain disappears, or at least, lessens with hours passing by. No medication needed so far. But I have to keep in mind things will evolve........................
