Andy Murray wants to improve physically as well as mentally as he looks to win the Australian Open after his disappointments in the US Open.
The 23-year-old Scot was well fancied going into the New York tournament but crashed out at the third round stage to Switzerland's Stanislas Wawrinka.

Murray is ranked fourth in the world but has not managed to win a major tournament in his career. He has reached two finals, the US Open in 2008 and Australian Open 2010, but has been...

US tennis legend John McEnroe reckons Andy Murray is one of an elite band of players who can win Grand Slam tournament as he is still evolving as a player.

The British number one is currently in action at the US Open and swept past Slovakian Lukas Lacko 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 in the first round at Flushing Meadows.

It was an easy win for the Brit as he demonstrated his full repertoire of skills as temperatures rocketed in New York.
Murray recently sacked his coach...

Marcos Baghdatis could be a real threat to the favourites at the US Open as he is going into the tournament in top form.
The Greek-Cypriot tennis star has made it to one Grand Slam final in his career, at Australia in 2006, and also the semi-finals of Wimbledon and is currently ranked 20th in the world.

He has been seeded 16 for the US Open at Flushing Meadow, but goes into the tournament in real confident as he recently beat world number one, and top seed, Rafael Nadal...
