Former world number-one Leyton Hewitt has rubbished reports that he could soon be forced to hang up his racket and retire from live tennis action. Davis Cup winners Spain have started to search for a new captain after Albert Costa announced that he is stepping down from the role.

The Argentine Tennis Association have named Martin Jaite as their new Davis Cup captain.

The 47-year-old, who during his playing career rose to number ten in the world rankings in July 1990, replaces Tito Vazquez, whose contract was not renewed after Argentina lost the Davis Cup final against Spain.
