End neglection!

I'm sorry for neglecting this blog... that is, if there's someone reading it! Been around here but not as often as before, blame it on my sucky class schedule. It's ok, I've been managing and I'm doing fine so far.

Davis Cup 1st round just happened... Happy about Argentina, sad about the US. I saw the latter coming. But I was there supporting my country as well, and we won!!! Venezuela d. Peru 4-1 and it was fantastic. Jose Antonio De Armas, our number 1, won both his singles matches...

Prisoner of technology

Wanted Nalbandian to get to the semis of the Aussie. Though he would face Roddick there, and in that case I wouldn't be rooting for David, but it's just that I wanted him there, as a latin american, since they were all gone last week. Gaudio, oh well that match could have been won by either of them, but it was the one who let go first the one who had to lose. In this case Gastón. I'm glad he fought until the end, when I thought he would withdraw from exhaustion and wanted to leave, but he held on...

Aussie Open

I'm happy the way the Aussie Open is turning out so far. Andy has won easily, but I'm even more happy about Gastón's great performance. Sure, his 1st round opponent was somehow an easy one, yet you never know how Gaudio will play on a certain day and especially on hardcourt, a surface he's not the best at. More amanzingly was his win against Mardy Fish, who is a great hardcourter in my opinion and unfortunately for me, one in my list of favs. Yeap. But I was rooting for Gastón this time, even more...

Start of 2005

So, 2005... I'm starting to feel it. Spent the holidays in San Antonio with my parents and grandparents and some days in Valencia at my aunt's. The usual, but this year it was kind of boring at times.

Tennis season started today, they barely got any rest I think... but it's alright, I'm already suffering from a withdrawal.

Surely it was a bad way to start the year with the tsunami affecting the etire world... For those of you reading this and who may not know, here...

Gastón Gaudio won the Copa Argentina de Tenis, babies...




I'm so very happy for this. It shows once again that when he wants to achieve something, he can do it. He wanted to improve his performance on hardcourts on preparation for the Australian season, and there you go. AND HE FINALLY WON A BLOODY CAR, for God's sakes!!!
