45 and counting...

If there's one thing I like about Rafael Nadal (and there's more than one), it's his mental toughness. He's such a fighter. From 4-6 1-4 to 4-6 6-4 6-3. Dropping the first set doesn't faze him at all, even to Federer in Dubai. It's good that he's got his head together at his age, on court and off court; that said, he needs to get out of Federer's head!

*Walks off humming 'You're in my head, you're in my heart...'*

Just his luck

If it weren't sad, Tommy Haas's run of bad luck this year would almost be funny. Fans in other players' forums will be complaining about how bad their favorite has it, and then someone will say, 'Well, it could be worse. Sucks to be Tommy. Again.' And on his forum, it's a constant stream of 'Positive thoughts, people, positive thoughts...this time...OMG we jinxed him!'

Fed vs Nad, close encounters of the Vth kind

Posted 04-24-2006 at 01:10 AM by atheneglaukopis
Maybe I should have a tennis blog. Absolutely no one who reads my main blog cares about tennis, so I don't post about it there. So here goes.

Things I want this year:
Federer's Grand Slam
Haas at the TMC where he belongs (this means no more drawing Federer early or getting sick/injured)
Safin to have a worthy comeback (or do I have to wait until 2010?)
Agassi to do something memorable before he retires
Nadal to stay number two but still keep a comfortable...
