Looks like Haas is in the process of losing too.

I was looking at the tennis calendar and the academic calendar, and the RG final will be June 10th, and my Sanskrit final will be June 11th 11:30-2:30 and my German final will be June 11th 3:00-6:00. Well, we'll see who even makes the final and what lengths I want to go to to watch it.

So I haven't seen Marat play since Lyon, and it looks like I won't see him until Monte Carlo, IF THEN, as there's coverage of the top half's second round but not the bottom half's and Marat lost 5-7 6-7 to pretty boy (or pretty girl, as he was called in GM). At least it sounds like it was primarily a confidence and/or match-up problem, but that doesn't rule out that they were both playing badly and Marat's game is still poor to mediocre, because Feli hasn't been in that great of form this...

So then my computer decides it's never again going to connect to the internet, so I have to buy a new one, and in the midst of 4 days of mixups with FedEx the delivery service, FedEx the tennis player loses!

In actual fact, I'm not that shocked. I was expecting it to be close, and the 7-5 first set didn't surprise me. The 6-2 did, somewhat. Oh well, there goes the streak. Same day, Marat gets bagelled by Mahut and having Sasha there didn't apparently help at all. My...

Yeah, so...every time I clicked in the blog system was down, and I stopped clicking for a while.

Federer aka Ninja won his tenth slam without dropping a set. That is to say, he won it without dropping a set, not that it's his tenth time doing so. Haas is blogging this week and being fairly entertaining, perhaps unintentionally at times. And last, but definitely not least, Safin has been on campus this week, and I got to see him Wednesday evening--and took some fuzzy purple...

Roger still hasn't dropped a set. No more bagels, though. Rafa won in 5 last night against Murray. It's hard to see him winning this, but I think he has a chance at toughing his way to the final. Hasi beat Nalbandian, and I think he's got a good chance of making the semis. I don't see him beating Gonzo or Rafa on the big stage, though; could be wrong.
