Andy Murray’s coach, Ivan Lendl, has revealed that he thinks that Murray is finally ready to take the next step in his career and win his first Grand Slam.
After reaching his first Wimbledon final back in July and then winning the men’s singles at the Olympics, Lendl thinks that the experience that Murray has gained this year will put him in great stead to win the US Open final on Monday night.

Third seed Andy Murray displayed all of his fighting qualities as he overcame a significant deficit to see off Croatia's Marin Cilic and reach the US Open semi-finals.

Number 12 seed Cilic stormed into a 6-3 5-1 lead at Louis Armstrong Stadium on Wednesday and looked set to extend Murray's long wait for a first-ever Grand Slam title, with sports betting markets all but paying out on a Cilic victory.

However, Murray clawed his way back into the contest before racing...

World number four, Andy Murray, was pleased with his variety and focus, as he stifled the threat of the big-serving Milos Raonic to book his place in the US Open last eight.

Murray outclassed his inexperienced Canadian opponent 6-4 6-4 6-2 in exactly two hours at Arthur Ashe Stadium on Monday night to reach his eighth consecutive Grand Slam quarter-final.

The Scot's performance was a far cry from his struggles against Feliciano Lopez in the New York heat in the third...
