Tennis legend Martina Navratilova believes Andy Murray’s suggestion that the game’s top players could strike over the difficult schedule would be fully justified.
Murray previously stated that he would be open to a strike if the packed schedule isn’t reviewed after a number of players complained of fatigue following a long and arduous season.

World number one Novak Djokovic has stated that the back injury that forced him to retire in Serbia's Davis Cup defeat to Argentina is not too serious.

The Serbian was playing Juan Martin Del Potro in his side's semi-final tie in Belgrade, when he had to concede the match through injury. Rafael Nadal says Novak Djokovic will struggle to repeat his achievements this year after a truly outstanding season.

The Serbian completed the year in fine fashion on Monday night after beating Nadal in the final of the US Open at Flushing Meadows, New York. The Davis Cup does not often take many headlines in the tennis media but the competition's importance is evident from the fact the top four players in the world intend to represent their country in the coming weeks.

Though most tennis players and fans regard Wimbledon as the biggest of the Grand Slam events, it’s hard to match the US Open for excitement. Who can possibly predict what will happen in the US open 2011 betting?
