Kim Clijsters has missed large portions of 2011 through injuries and that meant the Belgian had to miss out on Wimbledon and the US Open. Now she is back and planning to kick-start her 2012 by going for another title at the Brisbane International tournament.

It was a pretty miserable season all round for Clijsters, an ankle injury sustained dancing at a wedding meant she missed most of the clay court season and thus went out of the French Open in the second round. People following...

When asked to describe himself in one word, Janko Tipsarevic, who claimed his first ATP World Tour title at the fifth attempt after a tough win over Marcos Baghdatis in the Malaysian Open final, said "determined" - proof the Serb has the strength of character to finally make it to the very top of the men's game?

Tipsarevic, who was seeded third in the tournament, had been the only player in the Top 20 without an ATP title after losing his first four finals but he made amends...

Novak Djokovic has enjoyed a brilliant season so far and the Serb's hold over the men's game shows no signs of abating as we head into the autumn circuit.

Djokovic has stayed at the top of the men's tennis rankings, released on Monday by the ATP, on 14,720 points, while Spaniard Rafael Nadal is second still on 10,575 and Swiss star Roger Federer remains third on 8,380. Fans of live tennis should remember this.

In fact, the top 10 remains unchanged with Andy Murray,...
