Andy Murray may be able to rely on the support of the majority of crowd inside the O2 Arena this week, but it’ll take more than that if the Scot to lift the ATP World Tour Finals title. Murray knows he will need to be at the top of his game from the very off in the season-ending tournament in London, with eight of the world’s top players all vying for the title. Roger Federer feels he has been more attacking with his return of serve this year and feels that helped him overcome Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in his opening ATP World Tour Finals match.

The world number four had lost to the Frenchman twice already in 2011, including a five-set thriller in the Wimbledon quarter-finals.

Andy Murray believes Britain should look at the Spanish model of only funding tennis players until they are 18 as a method to develop more home-grown talent while he has also criticised the way British youngsters are coached.

Some British tennis players receive funding well into their careers and Murray believes that way of trying to develop talent may be hampering progress. Those looking at the Australian Open 2012 betting will certainly have their own views.

Andy Murray will face the toughest possible draw at the ATP Tour Finals after being picked in the same group as Novak Djokovic.

The British number one will also play David Ferrer and Tomas Berdych in the round-robin group, but the Serbian is likely to prove the toughest test in the opening stage of the end-of-season competition.

Djokovic swept almost all before him this season, winning the Australian Open, Wimbledon and the US Open and would seem to be the man to beat...

The season ending ATP World Tour finals are on the horizon and the eight best players in men’s tennis are preparing to showcase their talents at the O2 in London, with the tournament beginning on Sunday November 20th.

Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Federer and David Ferrer were long confirmed for London, but at the Paris Masters they were joined by Tomas Berdych, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Mardy Fish to finalise the field for the prestigious tournament.
