You can't argue that Andy Murray hasn't always had a lot of potential, but there is little doubting that we're now getting to the point where saying that the Scot has potential is akin to saying that he should have been able to work his way to the top, but simply hasn't been able to.

With no Grand Slam victories to his name, the time to replace the aging Federer and a Nadal who seems to have lost his focus seems to have passed on to the dedicated and deadly Djokovic, who has come...

Novak Djokovic got his Australian Open defence under way in spectacular fashion with a comprehensive straight sets victory against Paolo Lorenzi in the Rod Laver Arena. Rafael Nadal has insisted he is fully fit and ready for the new season, speaking ahead of the year's opening Grand Slam, the Australian Open. The Spaniard is going into 2012 looking bounce back to form and put a disappointing 2011 behind him.

While the 24-year old claimed another French Open title, he failed to add to that major and had to watch as Novak Djokovic stormed his way to the world number one spot, not to mention three of the four Grand Slam titles. Injury once again...

Reigning world-number one Novak Djokovic has paid praise to Bernard Tomic – who has taken the mantle from Lleyton Hewitt as the Australia’s next great hope. The 19-year old will get his Australian Open campaign under way with a bit of a stinker of a first-round tie, with big-hitting Spaniard Fernando Verdasco awaiting the Aussie in his Grand Slam live tennis of the year in Melbourne.

Tomic gave the home fans plenty of cause for optimism during last year’s competition, when the youngster...
