Jo-Wilfred Tsonga’s hopes of claiming a maiden Grand Slam title at the Australian Open this January have suffered a big blow after the Frenchman limped off court during his Hopman Cup exploits with a hamstring injury.

Andy Murray's unconvincing start to the 2013 season continued as he struggled past Australian qualifier John Millman in the first match of his Brisbane International title defence.

Rafael Nadal wants to make it a hat-trick of titles when he makes his long-awaited return from a knee injury at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi at the end of December.
