It’s the early stages of the 2013 campaign but already Andy Murray is showing he is going to be a major threat in the big competitions this year.
The Scotsman has so far been handling the heat at the Australian Open and made light work of the Portuguese Joao Sousa to book his place in the third round of the Grand Slam competition.

Murray produced a ruthless display on Thursday to beat the world number 100 ranked player 6-2 6-2 6-4 in Melbourne and set up a third round encounter...

Andy Murray really came out of the traps firing with a straight sets win over Robin Haase in the opening round of the Australian Open and it’s certainly a result the British number one can build on.

The British number one is a two-time finalist at the...

The Australian Open women’s draw at a glitzy ceremony in Melbourne on Friday had one major talking point before the names were announced: which half would Serena go into?

And, although the top seeds don’t meet until the semi-final...

Andy Murray insists that his exploits of 2012 are just the beginning and he is determined to improve still further in 2013.

The last 12 months have proven to be a breakthrough year for the 25-year-old, having recovered from the pain of defeat in the Wimbledon final – his fourth Grand Slam final defeat – to glory of gold at the London Olympics and then victory at the US Open.

He now enters the New Year bidding to win back-to-back Grand Slams with victory at the Australian...
