Rafael Nadal reflected on a positive week despite his shock defeat in the final of the Chile Open.

The Spaniard made his long-awaited comeback from a serious knee injury in South America last week and proved a big hit with the locals on his way to the final. He fell just short of a morale-boosting title success, however, losing to Horacio Zeballos in three sets.

The world number one went through a roller coaster ride against Stanislas Wawrinka in the fourth round of the event in Melbourne and eventually came out on top against the Swiss player.

A five-hour long match would take its toll on any player and Djokovic admitted...

Former world number one Roger Federer has booked his place in the semi-finals of the Australian Open and knows he will be in for a battle when he takes on Andy Murray on Friday.

The Swiss star was made to work hard for his 7-6 (7-4) 4-6 7-6 (7-4) 3-6 6-3 victory over the powerful Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in their quarter-final encounter of the first Grand Slam of the year.

It was a game Federer admitted could “have gone either way” against Tsonga but nonetheless...
