Can Djokovic Continue Into 2012?

Posted 12-22-2011 at 09:02 AM by Philip Oliver
2011 can only remembered as the year of the 'Djoker'as Novak Djokovic set the standards and set the records to claim the world number 1 ranking for the first time in his career winning 3 majors on his way to doing so. He would have been a great choice for any victor chandler free bets.

With the Victor Chandler Review, The young Serb was literally untouchable as he went on an unbelievable winning streak from the start of last January, winning 43 matches in a row before losing at the Roland Garros in May. He swept away Andy Murray at the Australian Open in Melbourne and that was only the start. Wimbledon and the US open were also claimed as he knocked Nadal from top spot.

Despite only reaching the semi finals at Roland Garros, Djokovic still managed to give the 'King of Clay' Rafael Nadal a lesson as he was schooled on his beloved surface. The Spaniard suffered defeats after taking the opening sets at Indian Wells and Miami, before being handed claycourt lessons in Madrid and Rome. Djokovic finished the season with a staggering 70-6 record. Fatigue of course eventually hit him in the later stages of the campaign, but 2011 was a year when Novak Djokovic turned from a boy into a man.

A great professional and a fantastic talent, it will be interesting to see if he can build on this remarkable year in 2012!
