Here's a copy of something I've posted today:

I'm taking a whack at getting the ball rolling on group maintenance of draw / results charts. They show not only the whole draw, but all outcomes as the tournament proceeds, in a fraction of a screen. (By contrast, the ATP uses a very clumsy thing that sprawls across about eight screens for a Slam, repeats names for every round, and obliges the user to flip between screens and think in order to figure out who lost in Round 1; here's an example: Australian Open 2008)

It's a regular post, not an image - so anyone can quote the post to get it in editable form, then replace the placeholder words (name, seed#) with data - or add colours to show results. If it catches on, the result will be a thread with various people quoting and updating the chart as the rounds unfold - no reason one person should be doing it all the time. And errors aren't grave - they'll be spotted and anyone can correct them, and prior versions will still be there in the thread.

To show how these charts look when a tournament is finished, here's the one from Wimbledon 2008:
