..but i just find it strange when people post a pic of themselves with the disclaimer: this is me, i'm so ugly and grotesque, please don't laugh at me etc. I can only guess they do this to:
1. Be funny- i don't find anything funny about it, but uhmmm...ok
2. Garner gratuitious compliments- i.e omg you're so not ugly! you're the most beautifulest person ever! i wish i was that ugly; kiss, kiss, drool, drool; you have (a) gorgeous nose/ears etc!(when said person points out his/her one 'ugly' feature). I suppose if you really need validation, this could do the trick ...ok, i don't really believe that
3. Offset any negative comments about their looks-ok, so there might be that one awful person but i have yet to see anyone be that rude

And really, if you actually did have such a warped view of yourself ,would you post a pic?
