I guess it has to be due to the last minute withdrawal of Nadal, and Rochus happens to be in the Next-In list. Someone will replace Rochus in the qualifying draw as an alternate.

no he's not. There's a big thread in General Messages about it. He didn't play last year either. Andy shouldn't be playing either for that matter, but with his draw it won't matter too much:)

nothing wrong with draw

only 16 seeds
top 2 placed top/bottom
3/4 drawn at random in each half

seeds 5-8 drawn at.... 2 in each half to play seeds 1-4 in QF
seeds 9-12 drawn, to play seeds 5-8 in rd3
seeds 13-16 drawn to play seeds 1-4 in rd3

rest are placed anywhere by luck of draw

But in Aus open,
2 and 3 were in same half
in this draw they're not :confused:

3 and 4 are drawn randomly. The first one drawn gets placed in the top half, and the other in the bottom half. All tournaments do it this way.

You can read the ATP rulebook to know how the seeds are placed, if you're really interested....there are several pages on it :)

Hi All, does anyone have some info on how Coria is feeling these days? I know he wasnt able to play Davis Cup, and his injury was not healed as of a few weeks ago, but are things better now?

Even though Ferrero beat him in the finals last year, Ferrero I dont believe is the best clay courter in the world right now, a healthy Coria is. Hopefully he is at full health here...as Enqvist hasnt a prayer tommorrow if he is.
