Monte Carlo 2007higherlaw 04-12-2007, 01:46 PM according to the MTF monte carlo thread, arnaud is in! good luck!:) Nonocoffee 04-13-2007, 06:28 PM I am happy!! I hope to see Arnaud on the TV!! It's quite a time since I saw him play a match!! Yes! If it's true, I hope that Arnaud will have a good draw! (sorry for my english!) Via 04-13-2007, 11:01 PM arnaud is lucky to get in directly due to the incredible amount of pull-outs (injuries etc) on the entry list. then again, the cut-off is incredibly high  so i hope he makes the most of his chance. what's happened to seb btw  Nonocoffee 04-14-2007, 09:34 AM Seb must be very tired by his Davis Cup match! higherlaw 04-14-2007, 01:00 PM arnaud will play Florent Serra. they've only played once which was last year at the pilot pen in new haven and arnaud won. if he wins, then he plays Robredo! Hangdog 04-15-2007, 07:52 PM arnaud will play Florent Serra. they've only played once which was last year at the pilot pen in new haven and arnaud won. if he wins, then he plays Robredo! Ahhh Flo! Well, in general Flo is a great clay court player but he's going through not his best time now so I suppose Arnaud is a favorite of this encounter. Getting a direct entrance and a WC for the first round is already a good fortune, then considering all the curcumstances of a high cut-off and the level of the tournament Arnaud's part of the draw despite Robredo is quite fine too. Alors bon courage, Arnaud! Also their doubles combination with Micka is coming back and then play Bhupathi/Stepanek in the first round. Seb must be very tired by his Davis Cup match! Pauvre Seb, but I thought the DC was a week ago.. Actually I have no idea of what's happened to Seb but I've almost lost any hope to see that great old Seb again  Someone should come up, kick his ass, push him out to the practice court and convince him that tennis is a fun, he loves it and he is a great player, maybe then... Forget's try was not too bad, but it was enough for a single match only. Via 04-15-2007, 10:38 PM Ahhh Flo! Well, in general Flo is a great clay court player but he's going through not his best time now so I suppose Arnaud is a favorite of this encounter. so arnaud's going through a great time? lol Getting a direct entrance and a WC for the first round is already a good fortune, then considering all the curcumstances of a high cut-off and the level of the tournament Arnaud's part of the draw despite Robredo is quite fine too. Alors bon courage, Arnaud! it's true... i don't think arnaud should be unhappy at all with the draw. robredo is a fine player, and a winner in hamburg last year, but still... not the scariest. i don't think arnaud should look like :scared: at the moment  Also their doubles combination with Micka is coming back and then play Bhupathi/Stepanek in the first round. well, guy's plan for seb in doubles is certainly not gonna start this week. mika isn't going to hang around without a doubles partner lol Pauvre Seb, but I thought the DC was a week ago.. Actually I have no idea of what's happened to Seb but I've almost lost any hope to see that great old Seb again  Someone should come up, kick his ass, push him out to the practice court and convince him that tennis is a fun, he loves it and he is a great player, maybe then... Forget's try was not too bad, but it was enough for a single match only. i really am surprised if his effort at DC has cost him monte carlo  but then maybe his fitness does not allow him to play two five-setters in two days. haven't i told you about aching bones? you still have not comprehended? maybe he'll ache for two more weeks  ;) TMJordan 04-16-2007, 12:56 AM Nice win for Arnaud on clay :D Next is Boredo  Go get him Arnaud  Truc 04-16-2007, 01:34 PM In l’Équipe today : Clément au rebond APRÈS LA DÉCEPTION de sa non-sélection en Coupe Davis, Arnaud Clément a enregistré hier un succès convaincant contre Florent Serra (6-4, 7-6). L’ATP a plutôt intérêt à faire machine arrière… » He’s happy about his level of play for his first match on clay. He was expecting it too because he had an excellent week of training with Bruno. When Forget told him in Moscow he wouldn’t play the tie, he was consternated first. He says he should have prepared better for this possibility. Once he had recovered from the shock, he started supporting the team like crazy (and completely lost his voice on Sunday). And he’s very upset about the ATP reforms. He signed in Miami the petition because the players haven’t been consulted for all those changes they are planning to do. The decision about MC is incredible in his opinion. The ATP better changes its mind… (Seb had pulled out of Monte Carlo before he knew he would play in Moscow, btw. I think his decision not to play has nothing to do with his matches there.) higherlaw 04-16-2007, 02:46 PM In l’Équipe today : He’s happy about his level of play for his first match on clay. Glad he's recovered and put it all behind him. Now on to Robredo and back together with mika. btw, Robredo is blogging from monte carlo on the atp website.:p Via 04-16-2007, 11:30 PM thanks truc :worship: but i don't have any reputation left for you any more! :p for me it's good to know that arnaud's one of those who signed the miami petition. rebel arnaud! :yeah: now he and i are in the same camp  btw didn't i (and irina too haha) look like idiots yesterday. i didn't know the match was already played on sunday :haha: Via 04-16-2007, 11:39 PM now that i'm finally reconciled with monte carlo time, i'm pleased to announce that the doubles pair will debut in a featured match on tuesday on centre court, against the revered pair of bhupathi and stepanek. ok then show us you two are indeed the premier frenchies in doubles  Via 04-16-2007, 11:41 PM (Seb had pulled out of Monte Carlo before he knew he would play in Moscow, btw. I think his decision not to play has nothing to do with his matches there.) altogether wierd.... i have no more comment! Hangdog 04-17-2007, 07:23 AM so arnaud's going through a great time? lol And why not if he’s recently rewriten his doubles highest ranking and still remains around Top 50 in singles? haven't i told you about aching bones? you still have not comprehended? maybe he'll ache for two more weeks  ;) Shame on me, again! http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/9721/pomnilj5.gif I can’t comprehend but I’ll do my best to remember it, promise! In l’Équipe today : <..> j’étais complètement défait So it wasn’t only my imagination. Thanks so much for the interview, Françoise! btw didn't i (and irina too haha) look like idiots yesterday. i didn't know the match was already played on sunday :haha: Yes, I indeed felt myself like an idiot when I found out Sunday was the first playing day (and I checked the draws only at the Sunday’s evening lol). But well, Arnaud is my the only great interest of MC draw and I just thought some nice people will post all the important info in here so I may relax. Btw   in my turn, I didn’t think that you looked like an idiot. I supposed either you was just too kind to reply to my stupid post, or you were just joking, or I misundrestood something. Back to the main topic: allez les gars!!! kukka 04-17-2007, 08:17 AM It's nice that Arnaud won his first match. :D I hope he can do the same against Tommy. ;) Elina Via 04-17-2007, 11:31 PM first of all.... arnaud/mika have lost the doubles 64 64 :( And why not if he’s recently rewriten his doubles highest ranking and still remains around Top 50 in singles? well yeah i suppose you can look at it this way... top 50 in singles is likely to be his average ranking in the past few years  Shame on me, again! http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/9721/pomnilj5.gif I can’t comprehend but I’ll do my best to remember it, promise! haha i miss your old man! so i've lured him back! anyway tommy robredo is trying to buy support for himself for his match against arnaud coming up  http://www.atptennis.com/1/en/blog/robredo.asp ......but we all know that arnaud is not all that popular in monte carlo.... is he? :tape: higherlaw 04-18-2007, 02:08 PM he lost 6-3, 6-2 his match wasn't shown here on TV, so so can anyone provide insight into what happened? especially why he had a 26% first serve percentage in the second set? aliasthad 04-18-2007, 07:24 PM he lost 6-3, 6-2 his match wasn't shown here on TV, so so can anyone provide insight into what happened? especially why he had a 26% first serve percentage in the second set? Hi, Saw the last few games. Lots of his shots hitting the net and forehands going wide of the line. Just didn't seem to be working for him. He broke back in the second set, but was then broken again when his serve was called wide by the umpire after he appeared to win the point - his next serve was out so it was a double fault! Robredo was playing well too. Also, a bee flew right in his face! They slo-mo'd it in replay! Sorry that's not a very deep insight! (My first post on Arnaud's forum). :wavey: Via 04-19-2007, 06:04 AM this is from tommy's blog at atp website: this morning i got up at 8 and after my typical breafast i took one of the cars and arrive to the tennis. i supposed to play second match after ten, it means i like to be ready around 10 in case something happend in the first match and for that we made a reservation of the central court at 9 to warm up with djokovic!. i couldnt practice in all the week in the central and i like to play once there just to be sure i like the court and to get used to it! imagine how sleepy i was at that time in the morning that when i was going to get into the court, arnaud clement who had the same court to warm up with llodra, came to me and told me.... tommy what happend to your shirt?? i looked at that, and it was in the wrong way!!!! as i always say, i hate to wake up early! so typical of arnaud.... he can't resist when something isn't done the right way. luckily tommy didn't look like a .....ball boy  :bolt: and this is his report on the match :o the match started pretty good for me with a break and i get a 42 lead, and after that i think the match was under control and i could beat him 63 62! well there you have it, the winner's explanation! higherlaw 04-19-2007, 01:18 PM Hi, Saw the last few games. (fabrice alas is no longer doing davis cup as we all know.....) Thanks for the report, aliasthad :wavey: another bee incident! ANOTHER bee? rafa was stung by a bee while playing arnaud, that's all i remember. that's indoors too. i'm sure there must be plenty of bees around the gardens of the monte carlo country club... | |
