It's her girlfriend ??Apparently, yes. The Romanian girls also mention the gf in every other post about him.
He won again!
He had his usual little black-out in the first set after leading 4-1, Vassallo came back at 4-4, but Gaël took it 6-4.
The second set looked pretty even until 5-4, Gaël wasted 3 MP in a row at 0-40 on Vassallo's serve, but he finally used his 4th MP. 6-4 6-4.
Only one ace again today, he's completely lost his serve during this injury break.
Andreev or Gicquel now -> let's cheer for Marc this afternoon.

He will play in Szczecin next week.
And I can't be there :awww:.
But I'm writing an article for the press office about him atm :awww:.

Oh, that's great news, thanks! If he goes far, I might be able to go for the last week-end since I'm living in Berlin.
And thanks for the cheering for Marco, Ome, it worked beautifully. :yeah: (I can't believe Marc won with 27% first serves in the first set and only 38% for the entire match, lol.)
Gaël can now avenge the annoying loss in Marseille.

Hilarious stats in Marc's match :rolls:
Good luck to both :yeah: (OK... to Gael a bit more :rocker2:)

Andreev was injured, he also pulled out of doubles.

Too bad for Igor :awww: Some Frenchies with a Russianphobia would still lose to him :tape:

That was E-A-S-Y today. 6-4 6-2, 12 aces.
He'll play the winner of Starace-Hanescu now.
Gosh, he was so embarrassing today again.
I'm sick of watching him tank and pull off the same show as soon as something is bothering him.

ATP Bucarest, demi-finale :
Victor Hanescu (ROU, wc) bat Gael Monfils (FRA, q) 6-2, 6-3
dont know what to think about it.Benhabiles not there with him?
09-16-2007, 09:14 AM
No, he wasn't there. I'm not sure who was with Gaël in Bucharest, all the reports only mentioned the gf (I can believe he was not properly prepared for so many matches and was having some physical issues, I was thinking the same by watching the match, but that's his own problem.)
Gaël said in an interview they're still working together with Tarik though.
Tarik is supposed to launch his new tennis academy in Florida in October, I don't know if he'll be very available in the next few weeks.

He's in the draw of Szczecin (he said after yesterday's match that he would be able to play again on Monday anyway, that's in L'Équipe today):
(5) Berlocq - Koellerer
Gaudio - Zib
Dolgopolov jr - Silva
Brzezicki - Vassallo (3)
Why did he play qualifying? His ranking is around 40 isn't it????
09-18-2007, 08:12 AM
Because he hadn't entered Bucharest first (his schedule was to take a short break after the USO, he changed his mind after he had to skip the USO).
Once the entry list is closed, the only way to enter the event is to ask for a WC or play the qualies and he didn't get a WC.
He's playing tonight his first round match in Szczecin.

He retired, Mertl was leading 6-3 2-0.
I don't know what he is doing, frankly.
