What was the longest time you didn't play tennis? (from one match till next match)
Mine ended today. I didn't play for some 5 months. And today i played like crap, but my opponent too  It was painful to watch us :o
Score says it all: 0-6, 6-2, 6-1, i won :woohoo: :tape:

This whole summer abut 3-4 months. I came back a couple of weeks before today. I played really good after such a long pause.
The longest pause I've had was a week. I become terrible if I don't practice daily. The only reason why I didn't practice that week, was because I was playing horrible for a few days before, so my coach told me to lay off tennis and do just pure conditioning. When I came back, I was a bit tight, but I played well at that weekend's tournament. Got to the finals and I was up 4-1 and it started raining like hell and because of that, USTA didn't give me any sanction points! WTF?

I´d say about 9 months, I was living abroad for that time.
I win its been 1 year and a half and my old coach actually rang me yesterday and asked if i wanted to come back to A2 Comp because the need another player urgently :haha: i said yes but dont expect me to win and im actually going to start tennis coaching this Friday so my drought will be over

What a bunch of pups! Try 15 YEARS. I played in high school and my freshman year of college. Then switched over to racquetball and stuck with that for awhile (it's nearly impossible to play both at the same time). Then life and my career got in the way and I became an office jockey. About 5 years ago, I decided to get back off my duff...and get back out on the court. You do the math. These figures make me, well, over 40. ;)
Since then, however, I've had an enforced vacation...called pregnancy. Even though I played until I was 6 months along....no one would play me anymore. I was too big (it looked like I'd swallowed a basketball). Call that a 5-month hiatus.
Am back out on the courts now...and try to play twice a week. :)

From one match till the next match it was about three years. I still enjoy playing matches, I just don't enjoy spending my weekends around the local tennis venues. But I had my share of the tournaments when I was younger.
