Steve said it would be screwed up for an hour or so because of the time change stuff.

Good job getting the third Richie :)

Too bad, Jarkko. A good result in this tournament would have been important for him. He really should find a way to win the tight matches against the very best players.

Yes, that seems to be his problem. And I´m not sure he will ever find a way to beat the best players. Gasquet is not even one of them. . Damn, Jarkko..!:(

I'm a fan of both Gasquet and Nieminen but I was looking for a Richie win today. :)

Great job Richie, he has had some tricky opponents these first two matches. Great to see he was able to prevail in both.

Good win for Richard, he got himself together nicely after losing that 2nd set and won the all-important 18-point game at the start of the 3rd set. :yeah:

Sadly, nothing new from Jarkko, fading away against a quality opponent. :(

no he won't.:p
Richie to win his first match against a top 10 player since his win against Blake last year.

Did you actually see it? I was on a (collapsing) SB only.

All the stats are in Nieminen's favour, apart from break points saved.;) It seems to me that Richard won this match not necessarily with his tennis, but with quite some fighting spirit, something he hardly gets ever credit for. :)

LOL, I hope not! I would really like to see Richie put together a string of good matches this tournament. He's overdue.

Allez Richie, well done! :yeah:

Why's that? I remember him fighting incredibly bravely against Hewitt in US Open, even with cramps in the end.

And no, I did not see the match.

Richard's match against Hewitt was amazing. The kid does have a fighting spirit...he just doesn't show it enough.

Please beat Roddick.
