Way to take advantage of your (now opened) draw, Lleyton...

The carnage continues.

The seeds that survived did so only after grueling matches.... Davydenko, Nalbo, Ljubo...

Tipsaveric played a hell of a match, he played real well, I though eh was going to choke in the third but he didnt... lets hope he takes out ferrer like he should...

Sad, Hewitt just has not been the same since getting married and becoming a father. I know it's sounds cliche but it's true, it has soften him. 29 errors is just unacceptable for a player like Hewitt who relies on consistency.

What was the thread that was on here a couple of days ago about which seed would be most vulnerable in the first couple of rounds? Pretty much all of them so far. The organisers must be loving this.

Poor Result for Hewitt, he will be very unhappy about this one. the draw had opened up so nicely and now he can't even beat Tipsarevic, disappointing.

I heard Janko played well, so well done to him.

I smell a conspiracy behind this. First Safin got bageled, then Federer straight-setted and now Hewitt. Aladdin must have put a spell on all those who dared to speak out against round-robin last week.

Janko played with some really nice controlled aggression in the third set. He deserved the win. And between the piercings, the glasses and the tattoos- he must be the most Bedazzled player in the ATP.

I thought Lleyton was next in line to win this tournament.

Who is the biggest beneficiary of today's mayhem? A young gun? Roddick, Nadal?

I think Murray is going to win this thing.

Did anyone see what happened right before the match? It looked like Tipsarevic had a nosebleed. He was holding a bloody towel and had a bandage on his nose. Hewitt kept looking at him. kind of dirty looks I thought.

Maybe the heat  Mardy had the same problem in his match against PHM.

Such big chance for Hewitt to gain some points :(
I am really, really sad now :(
Why can't he achieve something at TMS anymore? His MM tourneys are okay and he seems to get some form once in a while. His GS play is also good..but the TMS? Especially now after a tourney win? :(
What's next? Losing to Henman again? :(

Makes you wonder...

Can't be many seeds left in the top half now.

The ones who are left are still form players (apart from Roger :o): Haas, Gonzo, Murray, Djokovic. And Davydenko as second highest is still in, even though it was close.

Interesting little tidbit about Janko :)

NOT USED TO AUTOGRAPHS: With a current ranking of No. 100 in the world, Janko Tipsarevic is not used to autograph seekers. And what little experience he's had, some moments have gotten under his skin.

"I don't like to give too many autographs because I think people, they don't know me," Tipsarevic said. "I hate when people ask for my autograph and then after tell me, 'Can you write your name down, please?' This is irritating me so much."
