I am not sure if this is a one-off comeback, or whether he is seriously coming back to the tour, but Hicham is in the draw of the Rabat F2 Future:

Kamil Capkovic SVK [8] vs. Ali El Alaoui MAR [Q]
Hicham Arazi MAR [WC] vs. Ilya Marchenko UKR [Q]
Marek Semjan SVK [Q] vs. Juan-Martin Aranguren ARG
Karim Maamoun EGY vs. Torsten Popp GER [4]

Seeing as the Rabat Challenger is next week, I am guessing he will play there too and get a WC  Anyways, the draw is pretty tough, but he oculd win a few matches.

Interesting.

What about Younes? Is he playing?

No, but he will play the Rabat Challenger. Younes did play a Future this week though, in Oujda (Morocco F1) and won it.

He beat Victor Crivoi in the final 0-6 3-6 :sobbing:  :crying2:

Wow, Arazi disappeared really quickly a few years ago while he was still a steady top50 player. I'm surprised to see him back at any level but looking at his stats from the ATP site, it seems Arazi did the Morocco Futures circuit last year too with no further appearances anywhere after that. Maybe Casablanca or one of the lesser clay challengers will give him a WC but I wouldn't count on that.

He has done well ;) Marchenko is doing reasonably in Futures, and Capkovic is basically a Challenger-level player. To beat them like that shows that Arazi still has what it takes ;)

Go Arazi - he has been a great entertainer... awesome talent...

Loved his matches at Roland Garros over the years.

I dont think he will be back, he played some of these futures and challengers last year if i recall correctly. I would love to see him back though, but sadly I dont think it has any chance of happening.

Arazi what a gifted and stylish player, so expressive on court and very quiet off the court.

I'd love to see him back, but he lost his love for the game, hope he wants to play more. I loved his 6-1 6-2 demolition job of Muster in Hamburg.

Hicham:bigclap:
He had a quite serious moto accident last year or 2 years ago...
Great he's back....He says he will try this year to play and if he sees he cannot play well, he will retire...

i wonder if we will ever see
another
Arazi, or Alami or El Aynaoui

they were unique in their own way
if u add all 3 players together might get urself a top 10 player :)

Does he get a ranking point for this?

3 points :)

He won easily against two good players, so it wasn't a bad week for him.

Didn't he have some weird stories with ballboys in the australian open? :tape:

Arazi was so great. I remember the match he played against Rafter in the 1st at the USO in 1998...had the defending champ up against the wall 2 sets to love.

I thought he was going to pull it off. Either way, I loved watching him- just a killer player. :)

Thanks.
I still haven't completely figured out how points are allocated in Futures.
