I don't think so!

Isn't that amazing and at the same time weird that he never got injured/sick enough to quit in a match?

Neely just compiled all the retirement stats, only yesterday!
You can search out a thread called Retirements and walkovers.
Federer never retired, nor did several others including O. Rochus, Edberg and others.

Roger gave a walkover twice ... but in doubles, so probably his partners had an injury (Kratochvil & W.Ferreira)

Edberg retired in an Australian Open final.
But you're right, that shouldn't count.

Yes, Edberg's retirement must have been before 1992. Only data beginning 1992 was included in my stats.

He also retired in Boca West 1986 (semifinal).

Yes it shouldn't count since the data Neely was able to use are only 1992/1993 onwards.

If you have a stock of detailed data prior to that, you could compile the retirement/walkover stats for that and post it. Thanks.

Don't you dare trying to turn this into a live scoring thread. ;)

 Booohooo to whomever deleted my thread about Canas taking a set off Federer. I wasn't giving scores and the thread about Canas/Federer poll has been closed. That moderator must be a Federer fun.

Read the rules please, no in-play discussion is allowed in GM.

You can discuss the match here with our fine gamblers. :D
