Surprising result for everyone I think.

Well.. Youzhny looked frustrated and tired out there. His shots were more outcourt than inside of the court.
Acasuso didn't play his best either but those aces saved him at times.

There wasn't a clean match at all, lots of UEs; but I must say there were some brilliant points too; from both sides.

Congrats to Acasuso who played the important points better!

Good for Chucho :D sad for Misha

That first set surprised me  but for the  factor. I don't what happened with them in that set  . Second set Chucho was a bit better, but it was not a great match too see.

Anyway, a win is a win and well done Chucho!! :yeah:

I think the key was breaking back immediately after being broken twice in the second set.

Great win for Chucho, taking out one of the most in-form players at the moment.

There were some endless sliced BH rallies in this match.

Low quality tennis by Youzhny but he is getting to be more consistent. There is no overnight miracle, Youzhny will still lose matches he should win.

The only part of his game that could hurt Nadal is his serve. He does nothing that could hurt Nadal from the baseline.

Big upset. Chucho won the match with those two huge backhands DTL in the tiebreak.

it wasn't a good match but Chucho played better the important points..about the strategy: the bh with slice was an important strategy for Chucho to block YU's velocity. And Chucho played better the tie-break and won the match with a fh winner and that's important, well done chucho!! :worship:

his paralell bk was very nice to see also! :worship:

Youzhny's backhand was horrible today. I dont know what he finished with but i know at one point he had 22 errors and 1 winner from that side.

Again the draw turns into a cakewalk for Nadal. What a joke.

The Fedtards are worried.

No man to save the little girl Federer from another Nadal beating.

Ok... but you can't possibly think that Nadal could beat Federer at the moment. You're not THAT big a fanboy, right?????

Well, Berdych is still in the draw. ;) :wavey:

I have doubts that Berdych will get to Rafa (assuming Rafa gets that far). He'll probably have to get by Baghdatis and if Baggy is playing well, I don't know that he will.

It wasn't a good day for Misha, it was clearly visible all the match long. He looked like unsure or sth, weren't attacking, serve was horrible. All Chucho had to do was to keep ball in play and he won

I think he did a little more than that. He didn't hand the match to Youzhny.

Wow kinda surprising to see this but well done to Jose  But if his serve was terrible, then it's not a surprise i guess.

Interesting change of fashion in Indian Wells: Grosjean first time without a cap, Nadal first time with bandanna on the whole head, Youzhny first time with a cap :D

It's not a good sign for a player to exhaust themselves in meaningless tournaments only to bomb out in a big event. Hopefully he'll recover in time for Miami.
