He's playing his first qualifying game as I'm writing this, he has 1 more match to win in order to make the main draw (I think...).

I hope he could get far enough that I could see him on TV, and maybe this will get the kid some respect ;)

Go Dudi :bigclap:

Lets wait till he gets past THAT one to speculate on how far her can go.

I think he gained some people's respect with the match again Safin last year, too bad he choked it away (that was one depressing choke). I just hope for sunny days in the Israelis matches, it does not have a positive affect for either Dudi or Shahar.

Wake me up when we actually have a male that can play tennis

Darn long trip back, too.

Sigh. Dudi... He fought back from 2-5 down the first set and into a long tie breaker, 6-2 in the seconds and totally choking the third set away. I think it turned from 2-2 to 2-6 in the matter of 10 minutes.

And to answer the question in the thread title- yes he is going places: to the lockeroom to shower, to the hotel to pack up his stuff, and then to the airport to get on a plane to go home.

Well, there ARE Andy and Jonathan, they are male :) I just wish they'll stop running into the Brians in finals.

But yea, we're doing badly in singles and Dudi's shape does not bode well for the Davis cup.

OK let me rephrase that- a male player that can play SINGLES.

Yea, that was me trying to look at the bright side of things.

Dudi is a pretty talented player, but it hurts him that he's so small. I think he could develop into a consistant player that hovers in the top 100, but he still has some holes in his game to address.

He's also a very nice guy, so I hope he has some success.

How small is he? Smaller than Ollie Rochus?

dudi is a great player he justs need more of a weapon and a bigger serve, which given his height might be difficult. i remember watching him against safin at the AO and over 5 sets he hit, if i recall, only 1 ace
