I feel so sorry for David Nalbandian!!!

What a tough decision he has to make!

The World Rally Championship has its 6th rally of the year scheduled for the weekend of May 4-6 in Argentina. Not only in Argentina, but just outside of Big Dave's home town of Cordoba! His team, Tango Rally, will be competing in race. But the problem is that during that time, he is supposed to be in Estoril, Portugal, defending his title, and then going to Rome to defend his SF points from last year!

What to do? :awww:

Nothing new. That happens every year, and if I´m not wrong, he never missed it. But I might be wrong...., anyway, he has been in Córdoba for it most of the times.

Thank God!!!
Sorry but the last time I read a thread with a similar tittle was when his godson died during the MC 2006 and when his Dad passed away, I thought something happened...

I think he'll play. With him you never know  . The past year, he didn't play a tournament because he wanted to be in ARgentina for some important race (there was a probable contract for the TRT in the middle too). They won.
But is the same all the year. And now, Marcos Ligato doesn't race, he's more an "owner" than a pilot. So, I think he'll play. But I wouldn't bet my pay check on it....

i think he'll show up in Estoril, get his appearance fee, tank, fly back for the rally, then fly back to Rome for his Tuesday match. :)

David should play more tennis and stop doing those things. IMO he can watch the rally and do whatever in the future, but he won´t win tournaments at 35 or 40.

If I'm not wrong, last year he pulled out of Barcelona, a tournament that he had originally commited to, because of this same race.

How can you feel sorry? There's no decision to make here. David should do his job, then go to rally if he has time. Life of an adult goes like this. You do your job first, then enjoy your freetime.

He's the owner of the rally team, if his team wins he earns money, ergo, rally is also his job

(I hope he chooses all the rally's and drops out of tennis)

the real doubt is if he will go to Rome so soon after the rally. Will he fly from Argentina Sunday night and get to Rome on Monday to tank on Tuesday?

I saw that.. the tennis court was :help:
But I guess it didn't really matter seeing his level of tennis. :o Nalby should have given him some advices.

I just came back from the Rally. I got access to the VIP tent from the Tango Rally Team, and while I was drinking and eating caviar, guess who showed up? Yep, that's right... I could listen the floor trembling from far far away. Anyways, I took some pictures with David, and I was about to ask him if he was planning to play in Rome and Hamburg (I heard he isn't going to play) but suddenly some gorgeous supermodel from my country showed up and I knew I had no chance of calling David's attention. I guess we'll have to be patient. I'll upload some pics tomorrow so you can tell me if he is pregnant or not. :wavey:
